FAQ

Where is the Carousel House?

Located at 223 E Cabrillo Blvd, Santa Barbara, CA 93103. It is on the western end of Chase Palm Park in Santa Barbara and formerly the home of a carousel for 20 years.

The ceremony will be held on the lawn in front of the fountain. If it rains, the ceremony will be moved inside the Carousel House itself which is also where dinner and reception will be held.

Where should I park and how much does it cost?

If you are staying in the area, we recommend taking an Uber or Lyft to the venue — best for partying responsibly! But if you are driving. There are two paid parking lots across the street from the venue. The daily rate for the lots is $12 and they close at 2AM. There is limited free street parking in the area and might be a longer walk.

What time should I arrive?

The ceremony will begin at 4:15PM. With that in mind, please arrive and be parked no later than 4:00PM to find your seat. If you arrive after the ceremony has already begun, you may be asked to wait to enter and miss part of the ceremony.

Can I take and post photos?

For the ceremony, we kindly request you put all phones and cameras away and enjoy this moment with us. This will help ensure our photos come out the best they can. We have hired an incredibly talented photographer and promise to share out ceremony photos you can download. Thank you for understanding this small request to keep your phones away.

For the cocktail hour and reception, take all the pictures and videos you would like! Help us curate a live photo gallery by uploading your photos and video throughout the night. Also, if you’re posting on social media tag us and use our hashtag #Echemarried2023 so we can find them!

Will there be dinner and drinks?

Yes! Immediately following the ceremony there will be a one hour cocktail hour including beer and wine with light snacks. Immediately afterwards we will move inside the Carousel House where we will have tacos and margaritas as well as the same beer and wine selection. Cake will be served.

Is there a dress code?

Yes! Dress to impress – cocktail attire or semi-formal attire is requested.

What's the vibe?

We will be sticking to a tight schedule as this is a public city rental and must start and end on time.

Outside of the schedule, we are leaning into a California relaxed open air backyard vibe of friends and family coming together.

Are kids welcome?

While we love your little ones, our wedding is for guests 18 and over. Because this is city property there’s strict rules we must follow to be able to serve alcohol. We appreciate you making arrangements ahead of time and leaving kids at home so you can celebrate with us.

What is the weather going to be like?

The Carousel House is a mostly outdoor venue and we are right by the ocean. Average temperatures during this time of year include a high of 70 and a low of 50. We will keep the Carousel House doors closed during the reception to keep it warm inside but you may want to bring a shawl or light jacket for the evening.

What's the agenda for the wedding?

Come back after April 3rd and we will post all of the agenda. Here’s a sneak peek. There will be a cocktail hour, games, dinner, dancing, and other fun! Visit the Agenda that was released!

Echemarried?

Echeverri is pronounced “etch-ah-very”.  So, it’s a pun, etch-a-married! 🤩
